I began as a freelance ,plus size, runway model that had an on going passion for clothing and style. My journey began in 2008 at the International Academy of Design and Technology and has continued since. I have been a small business owner and official designer since 2008 and 2011. On the professional spectrum I decided on a sol proprietorship as Lady Lyria's Fashion Consulting since I had at one point been a performing musician and my former Latin hip hop group gave me the name Lyria in my mid twenties. I went on to create a music label in 2008- 2009 but that severely flopped. Attendling the International Academy of Design and Technology from 2008, 2010-2012 was exactly what I needed to learn how to take myself more seriously in the Art of Fashion and Entertainment. LLFC2011 was exactly what it was suppose to be... a business class assignment that would start as a business to test run for a grade... When I got my first paying client in 2011 who was a Mary Kay Consultant my eyes opened.
All though there were highs and lows in the San Antonio underground industry I have no regrets . I have been blessed to meet alot of amazing and creative people. Its rare and in between that I do get to meet other established designers. So when I do meet them it means alot to me. The most exciting part about being a designer is seeing the reaction of your audience when you transform some ones style or look. I love working with all ethnicities of models with in all size ranges. I have a soft spot for young plus size women who want to enter the industry... I guess because I have already been in their shoes. Designers that have directly influenced me first locally speaking are: Agosto Cuellar, Daisy Alas, Knoid Wear, Lena Jones, Lisa Perello, Amber Holmes, Theresa Satterwhite, Andrew Jacobi Jeter, Joseph Ledesma, New Prince Vance, Roger Canamar, Delores Unique Designs, and Western Gringa, Kopy Kat Creations, Maya Ford, Lydia Tovar Mata, & Legit Angel, and James Bradford Ross.

International/ National designers that have inspired me are Versace, Michael Korrs, Max Mara, Louis Vuitton, Balenciaga, Calvin Klein, Oscar De La Renta, Elizabeth Keckley, Chasity Sureal, Juicy Body Goddess, Kikiskreationss, Harajukuapparel , The K Daniels ,Tongaro, Imad Eduso, Nene La Shiro, and Nick Verreos.

SINCE 2021 I HAVE BEEN BLESSED TO BECOME ASSOCIATED W/ SHOKARI NEOPALDI FOUNDER OF SAN ANTONIO DREAMWEEK. I HAVE PARTIPATED IN DREAM WEEK 10 : HERITAGE FROM 2022 WITH MY OWN PRODUCTION CALLED FASHION LIFESTYLES. LATER THE NEXT YEAR IN 2023 I WOULD PARTICIPATE IN DREAMWEEK 11: IDENTITY AS A DESIGNER FOR DREAMING OF HAUTE BY CARRIE VON LOUDON FOR SHOWCASINF MY CANDYLAND COLLECTION AND MY AFROFUTURISM COLLECTION. ARRIVING IN 2024 I AM SCHEDULED TO RETURN TO DREAMWEEK 12: THE COMPASSION DRIVE TO SHOWCASE MY MYSTICAL GARDENS, AND FUTURISM COLLECTION ONCE MORE THRU CARRIE VON LOUDON.
OTHER AMAZING SITUATIONS THAT HAVE ABOUNDED FOR DESIGNERS WAS THE BIRTH OF THE SAN ANTONIO FASHION GUILD WHICH IS OWNED BY CARRIE VON LOUDON AND THERESA SATTERWHITE. THEIR BOARD MEMBERS HAVE RECENTLY BEEN ESTABLISHED . THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE GUILD IS TO MAKE FASHION EDUCATION MORE ACCESSIBLE TO FREELANCE ARTISTS AND TO HELP THEM DEVELOPE SUCCESSFUL BUT AFFORDABLE MARKETING SKILLS. IT WAS ALSO ESTABLISHED TO GIVE CREDIBILITY AND REFERRRAL TO PEOPLE WHOM DO HAVE MORE THEN 5 TO 10 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN THE FREELANCE INDUSTRY OF SAN ANTONIO. FOR TOO LONG FASHION PROGRAMS HAVE BEEN WAIVERING AND WANING NOT ONLY IN OUR HIGHSCHOOLS BUT OUR COLLEGES AS WELL. THERE ARE PROFESSIONALS HERE THAT ARE VERY CAPABLE OF LEADING AND GUIDING.
