Where does Fashion go from here?

So its the start of a New Year and all the super wealthy famous fashion labels are continuing their debut of collections. You can find them on Youtube. Designers such as #Versace, #SaintLaurent, #RalphandRusso, #Fendi, #DulceandGabbana,#Chanel, #Balmain, #IrisVanHerpen and so many others. Notice their shows may be showcased for 2021 but that means they occurred in 2020. Where are all the masks? IF you notice the audience no one is really wearing a mask. Its like the elite and wealthy were exempt from taking precaution. So I would like to make it clear that not all fashion designers are million dollar corporations and brands.
In the beginning of the year I noticed that the San Antonio Industry was still being proactive with doing virtual fashion shows where the models were spaced 6 feet apart and modeling designer masks. I didn't have much luck back tracking shows in San Antonio that showcased masks but I found many others. Check out the next video below. More of us middle and lesser class designers have adapted to adding our mask designs in our daily fashions that we show via #Facebook, #Instagram or #Tiktok. I decided to not focus on showcasing this year because for Uvalde County there are still so many restrictions in place for public events and gatherings. How did those other more elaborate designers get away with having hundreds of people gather for their shows? I tried a few photo shoot projects instead with a few of my own models and I was happy to report that all went well. Below you will see examples of my semi formal wear, Ready to Wear, and Active business wear for 2020. Every thing was sewn by me except for the Zebra print coat that was just added for style. Its not uncommon for me to mix my own style with other brands. It give the imagery more diversity.
As for my perspective on #FASHION...it shall continue in our mind and hands. Designers, Creators, & Artists will continue because it is a thriving passion and it is a means to an end. I do it more so for the passion. When I do gain new customers through showcasing my work it is a confirmation that there is a place in the world for my ideas. Much of my alteration clients come from displaying images of my work online. They clearly see that if I can construct a blouse, dress, leggings, pair of pants, or costume then obviously I do know how to sew a hem or take up a sleeve. Facebook has been my primary social media platform for nearly ten years and I have no complaints except that I had hoped to reach more people then just 756 for LLFC2011.

So in conclusion to this blog for the beginning of the year; I have decided to renew my 10 year DBA in Bexar County for April 11 2021 . Lady Lyria's Fashion Consulting will last another 10 years! I really enjoy when I have consultation clients who want to branch out in the fashion or modeling community. Its very rewarding having the opportunities to share my experience. I can only imagine when COVID 19 does clear up in a few years what the Global Fashion Industry will be like. I continue to network mainly on #FACEBOOK as #LyriaPrice and can discuss your projects with you via #Messenger video chat. I am also open to doing meetings on #Zoom , #Google meetup, or #WhatsApp.
